RBS (Glucose Random)

Overview:
The RBS test measures the level of glucose in the blood at any time of the day, regardless of when you last ate. It is used to assess your body’s ability to manage blood sugar levels and screen for diabetes.

What it detects:

Elevated Glucose Levels: May indicate diabetes or prediabetes.

Low Glucose Levels: Can indicate hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), which may require immediate treatment.

Who should get it:

Individuals with symptoms of diabetes: Such as frequent urination, excessive thirst, or unexplained weight loss.

People at risk for diabetes: Including those with obesity, family history, or a sedentary lifestyle.
